PRESENTER GUIDELINES

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES VERY CAREFULLY.

 

The information below provides very important information regarding your presentation. Please read the guidelines for oral or poster presentations thoroughly to avoid any mishaps on the day of your presentation. If you have further questions, or require more information, please email info@gcce2024.co.za

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

  • Stand-alone and peer reviewed paper presentations have a maximum of 15 minutes per presentation.
  • Each presentation will be followed by approximately 5 minutes of Q&A
  • There will be 5 minutes of transition time between presentations for authors to get set for their presentation
  • SLIDES:
    • Aspect Ratio for all presentations must be 16:9
    • Slides may be in PowerPoint or Pdf (Pdf presentations must be in the same aspect ratio)
    • Presentations must be uploaded from your own device to a shared folder by 5 pm on the day before your presentation.

      • Tuesday 8th October: Upload Slides
      • Wednesday 9th October: Upload Slides
      • Thursday 10th October: Upload Slides
    • Presentations must be named with the presenter’s last name and your specific presentation number
  • When in doubt, ask.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

  • Posters must be printed A0 size
  • Posters must be in PORTRAIT orientation
  • You must pre-print your poster and have it ready to be displayed at the congress
  • If possible, please indicate on your poster which of the UN Sustainable Development Goals your research makes a contribution to

General Abstract Submissions close 22 September

Selected stand-alone presentations are still being considered for inclusion in the programme. Contact info@gcce2024.co.za if you have a presentation you would like to submit for a presentation slot in the programme.
